It
is a type of strong, durable, flexible, thermoplastic material that
impressively shows great strength even if the structure of this sheet is very
thin and weighs at least six times less than any glass that has the same type
of durability and strength. Polycarbonate sheet is easy to work with, and is
used commonly for aesthetic purposes, interior designs, partitions, and
roofing. It has a high light transmission, maximizing sunlight for daylighting.

ADVANTAGES AND BENEFITS
- HIGH IMPACT RESISTANCE. Polycarbonate sheets displays higher impact resistance compared to glass. An additional safety feature comparing to glass which shatters upon breakage. It can resist up to 200 times greater impact than glass and 10 times to that of of an acrylic glass.
- SUPERIOR FIRE PERFORMANCE (SELF EXTINGUISHING). Ensures that the product won’t be the source of fire and won’t be the cause of spreading fire and toxic fumes which may endanger a property or a being. Even under extreme heat, it has been seen to be a non-catalyst to combustion or non-contributing to the growth of a fire through flame spread. Its V2 fire material contributes to its self-extinguishing feature.
- COLD CURVING. This material can be bent with ease and are suitable for decorations with curve features without applying heat. Sheets are rigid but can be cold curved, subject to the minimum-bending radius being complied by the manufacturer. These can be cut to sizes using conventional workshop tools and can be fitted into most existing glazing bars and frames.
- EXCELLENT LIGHT TRANSMISSION. SUNSHIELD Polycarbonate displays a crystal clear appearance and is not prone to breakage since it is made from 100 % virgin material. Sheets have excellent light transmission approximately 50% to 92% - depending upon the thickness and color.
- WEATHERING RESISTANCE. The material is so tough that it withstands adverse or the most extreme weather conditions - whether under hot tropical heat, or cold weather and thunderstorms. Sheets have superior protection against the deteriorating effect of UV radiation and does not discolor or become brittle.

- LIGHTWEIGHT. Strong and extremely light SUNSHIELD PC sheets are safe and easy to handle. A sheet is 1/6 lighter than glass, 1/3 lighter than acrylic.
- ENERGY SAVING. Sunshield has excellent light transmission approximately 50% - 90% depending on the thickness and color; thus Sunshield allows high amount of light to pass through minimizing the use of electricity for lighting during daytime
